The Chronograph Hand 'sweeps' like a Mechanical Chronograph, yet the Seconds Hand (in the Sub Dial at the 6 O'Clock Position) 'steps' like a typical Quartz Watch. Most Quartz Watches are lucky to have 5 or 6 Jewels- this one has 25 Jewels!! The Movement was manufactured for IWC by Jaeger Le Coultre, and derives its power from a battery.
